Dr. Chan grew up in southern California and moved to Chicago to attend Northwestern University, graduating with a major in psychology and minor in Public Health. She then attended optometry school at the Illinois College of Optometry to complete her Doctor of Optometry, graduating magna cum laude and with distinction as a member of Tomb & Key and Beta Sigma Kappa, ICO's highest academic honor organizations.

She completed her clinical training at The Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Chicago Cornea Consultants in Chicago, The Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, and the James H. Quillen VA in Tennessee. Her special interests include contact lenses, pediatrics, myopia control, ocular disease, surgery co-management, and enhancing the lives of patients through providing quality vision care. 

Dr. Chan joined SoLo Eye Care in 2019 and sees patients of all ages at the Bucktown office. She is a member of the Illinois Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry, the Chicago North Side Optometric Society, and the American Optometric Association. She became a Fellow of the Academy in 2022. 

In her free time, Dr. Chan loves traveling and exploring the outdoors, music, and hanging out with her dog Marley. She also enjoys volunteering and has been on volunteer trips with OneSight and the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity to provide eye examinations and glasses to underserved populations.
